How Do I Associate Special Characteristics Symbols to a Customer?

In Quality Planner, go up to the top menu bar and select Tools, and then select Customer Pool. Highlight the customer you wish to work with and click Edit. The customer information dialog box will appear, click on the SC symbols button towards the bottom. If your customer already has some symbols selected, you do not want to lose these selections, so hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard before you select the new symbols. Doing this will ensure that all of the previous selections are kept. Select the new SC symbols you need and click OK. If that was the only change you wanted to make to the customer, select OK again. The system will return you to the list of Customers. Click OK to save your work and exit the pool. This added your symbol to your customer. Now let’s move this information into the project. With the project open, we will click Project on the top menu bar and then select Edit Project Information. You will be prompted to log in again so type your password and click OK. Your project was created by using the associated information as it was at the time of project creation but you have modified that now and we need to update the project with the latest information so we need to re-select the customer from the pool. Even though your project probably already shows the correct customer, select Pool and re-select your customer from the list and click OK. Once you are back to the project information dialog, click OK again .Now your special characteristics should be available for selection in your project documents, such as your control plan. Open your control plan document. You may be prompted with some project differences, click Update if you see a similar prompt. Now when you select the drop down menu for special characteristics, the symbols you associated with the customer will be available for selection.
